What is a Vampire Facelift™?
The Vampire Facelift™ is a simple procedure, which only takes about 10 minutes in the office. The procedure works by using these three steps below:
1. Creating a Beautiful & Natural Shape: In the first part of the Vampire Facelift™ procedure, the physician uses a hyaluronic acid in a very specific way to sculpt a younger appearing face – while still keeping the shape natural. After creating a younger, natural shape, the physician harvests blood from the body’s growth factors that the body would normally use to heal damaged tissue, hence the name Vampire.
2. Isolating and Activating the Magic from Your Blood: Next, the physician draws about a small amount of blood. Then, using a centrifuge, the physician isolates platelets from that blood, all within about 10 minutes in the office. We then “activate” those platelets to cause the release from the platelets of at least eight growth factors that would normally be used to heal injured tissue. These growth factors work like magic to cause increased collagen and new blood flow. To rejuvenate new skin, these growth factors must be put back into your face.
3. Injecting the Magic into Your Face: Using numbing cream and a very small needle for minimal to no pain; the physician injects your own growth factors back into your face. These growth factors then activate multipotent stem cells already in the skin. This essentially tricks them into thinking there has been an injury and new and younger tissue should generate. The multipotent stem cells then develop into new collagen, new blood vessels, and new fatty tissue trying to “repair” the skin that was never injured! The result is noticeably younger-appearing skin. The effects of the procedure improve for two to three months and last for at least one to two years
