O-Shot®

The O-Shot® for Stress Incontinence and Female Sexual Dysfunction

The O-Shot® has been a life-changing procedure for women who have suffered with urinary stress incontinence and/or sexual dysfunction. With numerous benefits, the O-Shot® is a simple procedure that can be done in the office in only a few minutes with minimal to no pain or downtime.

O-Shot® Benefits

The O-Shot® is a great option as it offers the following benefits:

– Successfully treats urinary stress incontinence
– Supports vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation
– Does not subject patients to a lot of discomfort during the procedure
– Only relies on natural growth factors, making it a safe option
– Is minimally invasive
– Requires little to no downtime

How the O-Shot® Works

It is estimated that between 30 and 40 percent of all women experience some symptoms of stress incontinence and/or female sexual dysfunction. Incontinence can appear after childbirth, as the process of giving birth can weaken the tissues around the bladder. Female sexual dysfunction can appear at any age and often presents itself as a lack of sexual pleasure, or even as pain during intercourse.

Unfortunately, treatments for these conditions have been unsatisfactory, expensive and with potential side effects.

The O-Shot® procedure has a specific way of using growth factors to rejuvenate the vagina for help with stress incontinence and sexual dysfunction. The O-Shot® procedure is nonsurgical and uses the growth factors each women has in her own body to stimulate vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation to activate the orgasm system.

Platelet-Rich Plasma

A new technique has been developed to improve these conditions safely, and more importantly, naturally, through the use of your body’s own cellular repair mechanism. The name for this new process is called PRP, which stands for platelet-rich plasma. Growth factors, derived from platelets in our own plasma can now be harvested safely and easily. We then re-inject the PRP into various anatomic sites, allowing for growth of new tissue. PRP has already been extensively used in the orthopedic field to improve joint, ligament and tendon function by regenerating damaged tissues. Now physicians are turning to other areas of the body and having great success.

PRP significantly improves both female urinary incontinence and female sexual dysfunction using these same principles. The procedure itself is simple, fast, and often demonstrates immediate results. By using only your own plasma, it is also extremely safe. Patients often report immediate improvement in the symptoms of stress incontinence, as well as increased sexual satisfaction.

The O-Shot® Procedure

The O-Shot® procedure begins with a simple blood draw. Then, using a proprietary technique, the growth factors in platelet-rich plasma are extracted from that blood sample and injected into an area near the clitoris and into the area of the upper vagina that is most important for the sexual response using a patent-pending procedure. Because these areas have been numbed with a local anesthetic cream, patients experience little or no discomfort during the procedure.

Although each woman’s experience can be different, here’s a list of some of the things our patients have told us they experience after having the O-Shot®:

– Decreased urinary incontinence
– Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
– Younger, smoother skin of the vulva (lips of the vagina)
– A tighter introitus (vaginal opening)
– Stronger orgasm
– More frequent orgasms
– Increased sexual desire
– Increased ability to have a vaginal orgasm
– Decreased pain for those with dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
– Increased natural lubrication
