Then, blood is drawn from the arm and placed in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates the platelets from the remaining blood, which are then transferred to a sterile tube and mixed with calcium chloride.

This process essentially “tricks” the platelets into believing that they are in the patient’s body and that the body is injured. The injury response causes the platelets to release growth factors into the sterile tube. The growth factors are then transferred to a syringe and injected into the penis via a tiny needle.
