What Is an O-Shot?

Upward of 40 percent of all women experience symptoms of either sexual dysfunction or urinary stress incontinence. Sexual dysfunction can occur at any age and typically presents itself as a lack of sexual pleasure or even pain during intercourse. Urinary stress incontinence on the other hand, often appears during or after pregnancy when the tissues around the bladder have been weakened. In the past, both conditions have been difficult and expensive to treat, but now, a new technique known as the “O-Shot” has been developed to improve these conditions safely and naturally.

What Are the Benefits of an O-Shot?

The O-Shot can be highly beneficial for women looking to treat sexual dysfunction or urinary stress incontinence. Besides being able to successfully treat the aforementioned conditions, the O-Shot does so with minimal discomfort and requires little to no downtime. The O-Shot procedure is also safe because it relies only on natural growth factors.

How Does the O-Shot Procedure Work?

The O-Shot is a nonsurgical procedure that utilizes natural growth factors each woman has in her own body. This process is called PRP, which stands for platelet-rich plasma. PRP utilizes naturally occurring platelets found in the blood to derive growth factors from. From here, these growth factors can be safely harvested and re-injected into the body where tissue growth is desired.

The O-Shot procedure is relatively simple. First, blood is drawn and then, using a proprietary technique, growth factors from the platelet-rich plasma are extracted. Once extracted, the blood sample is injected into an area by the clitoris and into the upper area of the vagina. The vaginal area is numbed with a local anesthetic cream prior to the procedure so patients feel little to no pain or discomfort.

While every woman is different, these are of the things patients have experienced following the O-Shot procedure:

– Improved urinary stress incontinence

– Increased arousal

– Younger, smoother skin on the vulva

– Stronger orgasms

– More frequent orgasms

– Decreased pain during intercourse

– Increased lubrication
